Golf in Spain....... Almeria is now recognised as one of Spain’s premier golf destinations.

Almería is Spain’s driest province, with over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year making Costa Almeria the sunniest province in Spain, and an ideal all year round golf holiday destination.

The area is split into two for golf holiday purposes with four courses; La Envía Golf, Playa Serena Golf, Alboran Golf and Golf Almerimar within easy reach of the holiday resort of Roquetas de Mar in the south of the region, and three courses in the north; Desert Spring, Marina Golf and Valle del Este close to the holiday resorts of Vera and Mojacar. The whole coast is booming in terms of tourism but you get a feel for the real Spain here, and there are many more golf courses under construction.

Almeria is becoming increasingly popular with golfers and is now recognised as one of Spain’s premier golf destinations, it is easy to see why Almeria is now a serious rival to the more high-profile, and expensive golfing regions of the Costa del Sol, La Manga and The Algarve which are beginning to experience crowded courses where slow play can be a real issue.
